New York Yankee Baseball cards from the 1930's and 40's

In had been a few decades since a major baseball card set had been released when Goudey Gum released its now famous 1934 set. The 1930s were the hey day of the New York Yankees and murder's row as Goudey produced the most sought after Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig baseball cards in the 1930s. By the end of the decade Goudey was bringing its production to an end and Bowman, Leaf and Playball were taking up the challenge of producing baseball cards.
