In 1934, Goudey produced a much smaller set, only 96 cards. These cards are color reproductions of player photographs. The card fronts have 2 distinct card designs; one featuring a small portrait of Lou Gerhig with the words 'Lous Gehrig says…' inside a blue strip at the bottom. The other design has a red 'Chuck Klein says…' strip along with his photo. The card backs contain a short player biography said to have been written by Gehrig or Klein. |
