Hawkins was a right handed pitcher that came up through the Padres system in the early 80s. During the mid 80s Andy was one of the best right handers in the league. He was traded to the Yankees in 1989 and finished up his career in Oakland in 1991. In 10 seasons in the big leagues, Andy won 84 games and had an ERA of 4.22. Andy's only post season appearance came in 1984 when he helped the San Diego Padres defeat the Chicago Cubs in the NLCS before eventually loosing to the Detroit Tigers in the 1984 World Series.
